ITAHI STONE MONUMENTS
Shimotazawa Kurohonecho, Kiryu
Kiryu City Important Cultural Asset
Of the four tablets found here, one dates back to the year 1315 and is
the oldest tablet monument in Kurhonecho, making it of particular historical
value. Some Sanskrit letters are inscribed on a lotus leaf along with a
halo. The stone tablets were placed there as a memorial to dead ancestors.
