Kiryu City Hall has established a Foreign Residents Consultation Desk where foreign residents may come to discuss problems regarding their life in Kiryu. Consultations may be conducted in either English (Monday through Friday), Spanish (Friday only from 11 am to 3 pm) or Japanese (Monday through Friday).
Depending on the nature of the consultation, foreign residents may be introduced to other professional, legal, or medical services for advice.
In addition, many Japanese also make use of this consultation service regarding plans to study, work or travel abroad.
The Consultation Desk staff are working hard to prepare written materials for distribution to help foreign residents get accustomed to life in Japan. These pamphlets are usually made available in several languages.
Foreign Resident Consultation Desk Hours:
English &Japanese consultation: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:15 pm
Spanish consultation: Fridays, 11 am to 3 pm
Closed on weekends and national holidays.
