| The Kiryu ga Oka Amusement Park is located on the northwest side of Kiryu on the slope of Azuma mountain, next to the Kiryu ga Oka Zoo. The park is well known in the Kanto area because there is no entrance fee. There are many rides and amusements in the park including a carousel, ferris wheel, Pirate's Ship and cycle monorail. The park is open from 9:30 am to 5 pm from March through October. From November through February, the park is open from 9:30 am to 4 pm. The park is closed on Tuesdays and on days following national holidays. The park is particularly beautiful in the springtime because of the many cherry trees in bloom. It is a popular site for family picnics at this season. |
